Dannielle Williamson was born in Washington, D.C. in 1982. Having been brought up in an intense and turbulent environment, she experienced things that most children wouldn’t have at such an early age. Feeling like she needed an alternative life, Dannielle dove into reading fiction novels, short-stories and poetry while becoming one with the characters. Over time, those adventurous stories aided Dannielle in discovering her own creative side and in turn she began writing poetic tales to further escape the tough times.
Upon obtaining an undergraduate degree in Business from Fordham University in New York, Dannielle returned home to Washington, D.C. to pursue a career as a Financial Analyst. While in college, Dannielle honed in on her passion for cooking and in her spare time caters intimate gatherings for family and friends, professional events, and milestone moments. Despite her hectic schedule, Dannielle continues to find the time to write poetry as a release for the good, the bad, and the unwanted that life brings. Her poetry inspires courage and strength through love to face the darkest of reality.
Nicky began to transform emotions into poetry at the young age of eleven. When she couldn’t find the right words to speak she turned to the pen, which allowed her thoughts to come alive in the form of art. Her life experiences became her canvas of words. The good and bad times of her life were documented through her poetry. After sharing her talent with close friends and family, she began to receive requests to write material on their behalf.
After graduating from Hampton University, Nicky decided to devote her life to giving back. She obtained a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Trinity University, and is currently an educator in The District of Columbia Public School system. Her relatable style of writing can leave you invigorated, fulfilled, and no longer in search of the words to express your inner most thoughts and feelings.
